Meet Dr. Christopher Frey

Dr. Christopher Frey graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1980 with a BS in human anatomy and a doctorate in chiropractic. Before entering chiropractic he had a seven year career in modern dance with two world renown companies: Lar Lubovitch Dance Company and Nederlands Dans Theatre. He and Jamie, his wife of over 30 years, have 3 grown children.  Jacob, is a law student and a world class marathoner representing the US in the Pan American Games.  Asa, a collegiate soccer player, is now studying to be a chiropractor.  Alida is a fine arts student at Boston University.

Dr. Frey brings a vast working knowledge of biomechanics to his healing art through his experience in dance and gymnastics. His practice is made up of families (4 generations in several families), athletes and proactive health explorers of all ages. He finds his work with infants and children particularly gratifying. “Allowing full potential to blossom from an early age prevents ear infections, asthma and allergies and chronic degenerative conditions of old age. It also helps kids grow up happy and communicate well with their peers, teachers and family. The neurology of the bones, muscles and skin are just as important to development as the special senses of sight and hearing. This tends to get taken for granted in health and education. Chiropractic helps kids and adults learn with their bodies and their imagination as well as their eyes, ears and voices.”

As a member of the International Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association and a former board member of the Virginia Chiropractic Association,  Dr. Frey is active in legislative initiatives to gain parity for chiropractic patients. His passion is to see the associations work together toward that end. He has testified in court many times and is a sought after, inspiring health speaker for employee, school and temple/church groups.

Dr. Frey is a Certified Chiropractic Rehabilitation Doctor and keeps current with research in neurology, pediatrics, x-ray, orthopedics, scoliosis, clinical nutrition and the latest chiropractic techniques. He completes at least 48 hours of continuing education each year.

"Rehab is so important to spinal and extremity healing and stabilization. Most patients engage in specific strengthening, stretching and neuro-kinetic proprioceptive exercises. Our rehab suite has just been enlarged and is equipped with a broad array of tools for these purposes."
